eGumball.com Dan & Brittany(customer service) Charging for services that they didn't perform, then threatening to put my account into collection after I cancelled their services Irvine, California
After contacting Google to see how I could get my business listed in the top rankings of their search engine for my type of business, these people call me out of nowhere making it sound like they were part of Google and that they would be able to get me into the top rankings of Googles search if I signed with them. After 2 hours on the phone with this lady, I agreed and what do you know, months later and still my business is not listed. I speak with someone else on the phone and tell them, "listen, you already suckered me out of $500.00, I no longer want to use your service." They tell me that I am under contract for a year and that I need to pay them $199.00 for every month left in the contract, which happens to be $2400 roughly? So After this guy Dan tells me that they "The Company" have spent thousands of dollars getting me into Google, I tell him to show me the documentation showing what they have spent on me, and he tells me they can't do that. What a scam! Then I tell them to contact my attorney and again they warn me "not to go down that path!" Really??? Now a couple of months later after hearing nothing, they start calling me again, and again I speak with Brittany, who again being nasty and telling me that they will put this into collections, yet my business still isn't on the Google search yet. Don't use them!!! They scam you!!!!

After posting my initial report about eGumbal, I received a phone call from a gentleman there today and after about a 30 minute conversation, he took the time to show me that this company actually did do some work on my behalf and I started seeing some results come up about my business. I guess some people are just better at explaining things to people than others, but I appreciate his time, and he should know that he actually is good at his job. So as to my prior report about the company, I will retract my statement.

TIMOTHY MCKAY REFUSING SERVICE!

Timothy Mckay owner of Under The Sun Property Management is refusing service. He signed his agreement of 8/22/2012 and tried to cancel service by phone on 9/6/2012. Cancellations are not permitted past the three day right to rescission. This cancellation request was made 14 days later. During this 14 day cycle the client received seven emails detailing the work which had been completed. The client waited until the closing email to attempt cancellation? Had the cancellation request been made a day or two later we might have been able to accomodate his request - not 14 days!
Nonetheless, our company provided service and has made several attempts to contact the client to claim listings which require his participation by pin code verification. Each time we make an attempt to call the client there is either no answer or we had to leave a message. No call backs.
Cancellation was denied for two reasons
1) Our terms and condition clearly provide a three day right to rescission:
You may cancel service and receive a 100% refund within the first three (3) days of your initial agreement. Three day cancellations must be received by fax (1-855-890-8940) or by email [email protected]. Three day rescission cancellations are not permitted by phone.
2) Our terms and conditions provide at will cancellation with full payment due:
Client reserves the right to terminate any assignment "At Will", in which case eGumBall, Inc. will be compensated to the completion of the application, and all expenses will be due and payable immediately. eGumBall, Inc. reserves the right to terminate any assignment without penalty and deliver current work on any assignment to client, with all invoices for work to date then due and payable immediately. Early cancellation of any contracted agreement for SEO, Promotional Products Inclusive, Promotional Products Ordered, E-Mail Marketing, Telemarketing or Marketing Consultations will result in an early termination fee of 100% of the remaining agreement(s).
3) Our terms and conditions do not allow cancellation for incomplete work due to communications:
Client agrees to be an active participant in their internet marketing campaign and agrees to respond to eGumBall requests within a reasonable time frame.
