ELEGANT WINDOW FASHIONS Collect payment, failure to deliver/install product, failure to communicate Cedar City Utah
Anthony Esplin, operating under Elegant Window Fashions of Cedar City, UT, collected cash payment upfront in exchange for blinds that he claimed he would order and install within two weeks at a price better than the local Home Depot. He never delivered or installed a product and strung us along for over a month, constantly making up excuses along the way. He *did* communicate and make attempts to communicate but there was never any commitment or information in his communication. Therefore his statements became lies until we demanded our money back. *Fortunately,* we were able to obtain it. We never received any product. Following us getting our money back, he was still claiming the blinds would show up but he hasn't communicated anything since the refund.
He likes to go around to new construction sites and new move-ins to solicit business from people who are too lazy/busy/cheap to purchase reputable products and services from local retailers.
We ended up with Home Depot blinds for $100 dollars more than he would have charged and we received them within 2 weeks time (special order) and they were professionally installed, hassle-free.
He is a one-man-show, presumably with some kind of partnership with a blinds company, who apparently just acts as the classic middle-man to shave profit off the top. Get 'em cheap, mark 'em up, and slap 'em in the home quick.
The problem is, in our case, that he was entirely unprofessional, unwilling to follow-up, shady, and did not communicate anything other than statements which became hollow, informationless lies. To his credit, we *did* obtain our money back.
This report would not have been written had he made any reasonable attempts to satisfy the customer. To be fair, it might be possible that the reader of this report would receive better/different service and perhaps there are buyers who already have. This is just one report, but buyer beware!

The local Spectrum News (BY NUR KAUSAR - [email protected] - May 5, 2010) reported that Anthony Esplin has turned himself in to local authorities and has been/is serving jail time. I really hope everyone can get their money back and that Anthony's family can survive his stupidity.
