Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I worked for Elite Sales this past summer and it was a terrible experience. Not only was it hard to know when we were going to get paid (once we went 1 entire month without receiving payment) but you always had to double check because mistakes were made every so often.

They recruited so many people that it made it hard to have a good niche without someone eventually finding it, not only that but at the beginning of the summer we started with 20+ kids and finished with like 9.

That's 11 kids that went and basically ruined area, took sales with them that could have been ours if we had had access to those areas. By the middle of summer there was no place that hadn't been milked.

One month after we started, they changed a bunch of requirements as far as hours they wanted us out on the doors, how long they wanted us out and made certain threats, with the "softener" of: "we understand that this is a major change, so you don't have to abide by it, you can go home and we won't hold you liable for anything."

#1 - Go home? A few of us had quit good stable jobs to go venture into making some good money over a short period of time. We had nothing to go back to, how could they say just go back and no worries?

#2 - It violated the contract we had signed and they were not willing to make arrangements or adjustments to the contract. So basically they upped the requirements and lowered the perks.

Half way through the summer when we still had something like 18 people, they made us stay in 1 city, ONE, for a whole month and it wasn't even a big one, it was a small town maybe big enough for 5 people.

At this point, it actually got to near slavery. They rented a van and prohibited us from traveling to the areas in our own cars. Motive? They said that some of us weren't working as hard as they wanted us to, so everyone would have to pay the price.

So they would put us in a van, take us to the city where we had been for weeks now, they would drop us off and move on. That was at the beginning of the work day. There were no regards as to what we would do for a bathroom break, or if we got kicked out of the neighborhood (it happens) or if the area just wasn't good (there's a chance also).

Of course this didn't last long only because we all pulled together and made them see how asinine, less effective and ridiculous that was and we basically said we wouldn't have it, otherwise that could have gone on forever.

At the end of the summer we found out that they had made some mistakes on how they were doing the payroll so money that should have been withheld from our paychecks never was, so what they decided to do was to simply not pay us for the last month of sales we had.

This means we had lived one month on a paycheck and had to make that money stretch one more month and have it be enough to go back home. We were told we would see that money sometime between October and December, yeah, that didn't go over very well. We (some of us were lucky enough) didn't see that money until December 15. The contract was technically over August 31st.

Yes, it was a while. So that was my experience with Elite Sales. I do not mention names in this report because I think that is besides the point and I am not interested in individuals. The company as a whole is at fault and that's what's important.
