After enrolling in various required offers, eMarket Research was supposed to provide a free Sony Viao laptop (in the disclaimer section, it was stated that the unit may be refurbished, or be substituted for another gift of equal value- in this case, just shy of $1,200.) In addition, the company requires you submit a "gift redemtion voucher" via mail; which I would not have realized had I not spent time reading their disclaimer. I requested the redemption form, and have submitted it three times.

To date, I have received NOTHING- not even a response from several emails to customer support (the site urges you to disable anti-spam filters, which I have done). A toll-free number posted in response to a similar complaint connects to a voicemail account, which also goes unanswered. The company has since changed its name, and I have seen many offers of a similar type (free Ipod, free flatscreen TV, ect.) using an identical webpage layout under several different company names.

Due to the lack of response, the overwhelming negative information I have discovered researching the company, and the weed-like growth of similar offers, I urge anyone to avoid this company like the plauge. If you have solicited an offer, report them to their participating merchants (some are reputable- the New York Times and BMG music club were among them).

While eMarket Research never contacted me, apparently my efforts to contact them and complaints lodged with the BBB of southeast Florida have paid off. I received a Dell Inspirion 1000 today via FedEx from a company associate with them. While not the same as the Viao that I had been enticed with, I am nonetheless pleased that I got something out of the process after so much aggrivation. I urge all others that have had dealings with this company to not give up, persistance has paid off not only in my case but in several others that I've seen listed on this site.

Still no contact

I still have had no response to any of my attempts to reach eMarket Research. I have filed complaints with several organizations, including the SE Florida BBB and the States Attorney's office. While I have seen positive outcomes from other people who have lodged complaints via this site, I am still pessimistic. It seems unreasonable for any legitimate firm to take months to respond to multiple attempts to reach them, and for a client to have to resort to searching sites such as this one to find alternate means by which to attempt to contact them. I have noticed replies from employees (notably "Jeff") of eMarket to complaints on this site, and avidly hope one will reply to my concerns as well.
