Josh owner of Emerald Cut, had been "taking care of" my out of state rental property for about a year in 2017-2018. Being an out of state landlord, a lot of trust is required when hiring a landscape company, that they will, in fact, perform the contracted twice monthly service and any repairs that come up.
In the course of the year, he destroyed my lawn, plants and sprinkler system, with a total lack of and incompetent "care". Charged and double charged me for twice-monthly "service" that was done when he felt like it, and not to the standard he was contracted to do. Charged for both unnecessary parts and repairs that were not made.
The final straw was abandoning my yard with the sprinklers running non-stop for at least 24-48 hours and not shutting off and leaving it that way, while ignoring my texts and calls to go fix and at a minimum turn the water off. Not even the common decency of a reply after taking my money for almost a year. The result cost me $800 to repair. I later learned from my tenant that he had not even been at the property for any repairs or proper "maintenance" in months. This is a highly irresponsible, incompetent individual only interested in taking your money and not doing the work. When he charges for and "makes repairs" on your sprinkler system that he clearly has no proper experience with, he disappears when confronted with his faulty work. I am not the only customer of Emerald Cut that has been on the receiving end of this extremely dishonest "business owner".
Avoid ruining your yard and go with a licensed business, as guys like this just come and go to take your money and have no intention of doing the job they are contracted and paid to do.
