Empire's jingle is catchy but DO NOT CALL 1 800-588-2300!!!!
A service rep. Stan, visited our home and convinced us we could not wait until August to get our carpet installed we would have to do it this week. The sting continued with him making phone calls to someone to guarantee the carpet we picked was in stock. It may have been but it wasn't the day we stayed home from work and dismantled our entire 4 BR.
At 10:00am we called and were told we were on the schedule and the hours were 8:00-6:00PM. At 11:00am Jason called to say our carpet was no longer in stock. At 12:00 Tom Harryman called to say too bad that we were leaving for vacation early the next morning there were no crew members who could come out and bring another type of carpet to get the job done. He professed to be the General Sales Manager for MD and says Empire doesn't pull the paperwork for an order until the day of installation.
7 days ago Empire charged my account for carpet they did not reserve for me. I believe this is illegal. Troy Pringle does not return phone calls. You sit on hold forever to try to get to someone when you have a complaint or get dumped into Troy Pringle's voice mail and he doesn't return calls. The "contact us" link on their website does not get you a response either.
BUYER BEWARE - my credit card is shorted $1900.00 as a deposit that was a scam, my house is dimantled, my vacation plans ruined, my husband & I lost a day at work and Empire could care less.
