I check my account online everyday and know all transactions which occur through it. I was quite surprised to see a $9 charge from a place called Entertainment Rewards. I had no idea what this charge was so I decided to Google it and of course the ripoff report was one of the first to come up.

I was kind of relieved to see this as I knew I wasn't the only one and that something could be done about it quite easily.

I called the company and said that this was a fraudulent charge and that I never gave them my credit card details. The operator insisted that by giving my email address and confirm my email address that this was an electronic signature. I couldn't recall doing this and even if I have I don't believe typing out two email addresses constitutes an electronic signature. I am not a lawyer of course so cannot comment if that does or does not. If it does then that law should be looked at as well I believe.

I insisted that I didn't agree to the charge and after the operator insisting that nothing could be done I asked for the supervisor. After being placed on hold for a couple of minutes the same operator came back and said that they would happily refund the month charge and was sorry for the inconvenience.

Problem solved for me but I'd hate to think how many people are out there getting charged for this without even knowing.

My biggest surprise I guess is about Ticketmaster as I can't believe they let such a company operate through them. Now while ticketmaster themselves rip people off with all their convenience' charges they still have somewhat of a reputable name and I think if they continue with this company then that will be tarnished tremendously.

In Summary. Call them up insist that you didn't agree to the charges or authorize them and then insist on speaking to a supervisor about getting the money refunded. If all else fails then contact your bank and get it reversed.

Good luck to all that have the same problem as so many else have.
