Letter to Envisage:
....." I received 2 items from you today. I remember STARTING to have the free ones sent to me, but something happened to the computer screen, it disappeared, and to my understanding, the transaction did not take place. I was surprised when I received it today. There was no form included, the brand name, I had to hunt for and finally found this site. I did not receive an opportunity to review any obligations attached to this offer, other then paying for shipping. I was concerned that there may have been a notice stating that my account would automatically be charged monthly for future shipments. I do NOT want something like that to happen. I do not know if it will work and how much the regular price will be. Please send me the form that reveals what obligations are automatic when I accept the first free trial offer. If I do not receive an explanation with the option to cancel future shipments, I will dispute any charges that may appear on my credit card and send back the items unopened. I like to know if it is going to work for me and then how much the product is. This helps me decide if I want to continue with it, instead of it being part of your offer/obligations that I did not view.".....
Later I have found out that it was NOT free, it was the first 2 weeks and if I did not contact them and stop it, I would be charged for the 2 items. I found this out because my credit card called with a fraud alert with a charge from Great Britain, 1 for $103 from Natural Cares, and the other for $109 from Skin Product. I told them I did not know who they were and they froze my card. I later found out, disputed the charges.
In talking to the company, they were very rude and aggressive. They told me I received an email. I said I did not. Later I found it in spam or it was buried. I did not know who they were. I said the offer disappeared from the screen before I could see the terms or conditions of their contract. I assumed it did not complete until I received the items in the mail. I used them only once, maybe twice in a 3 week period. I was stunned to find out they were NOT free.
They then started to say they would give me a 10% credit, then 20% them 30% and I would have to pay to send them back. then I think it went up to a 50 and 70% credit. I got livid and said no, it was a matter of principle now. They could send me a label and they could pay for the return postage. I was having my credit card reverse the charges. They changed my credit card number to do so. That was a hassle.
Then in another week, I see the credit card has now reversed the credit and is charging me again. They emailed me a notice of a form Envisage sent to them. I could not read it, it the attachment was not clear so not sure what it said. They said since I gave them my card number, I had to honor the agreement. I said, even though the computer cut out and I never saw the terms/conditions of their contract and assumed it had aborted? Now I am really upset. They said I would have to call Envisage.
I called Envisage and they say there is nothing they can do for me. They had already offered me 100% credit and I refused. I said no, he kept jerking me around and changing the percentage of a refund/credit that they would allow, but it was not 100%! Why would I not take that? They did have accents and were hard to understand. The man was just nasty, we argued pretty intensely, I was so mad. He kept talking over me and did not care that the computer had cut out.
I know to look for the little “stipulations” they love to put in small print about sending future products. I never saw it because the screen cut out. I also would not pay that kind of money for 2 products.
I am now in the process of stopping 3 cards with Citibank since they are going with a 1 time merchant as opposed to an excellent customer they have had for 10 years. I am just stunned and this has been a horrible experience. I now wonder if they have the screen cut out like that so you won’t see the terms and think the transaction did not complete. Egg whites, 2 coats under the eyes will take care of bags.
I am glad to find someone with a site, enabling us to vent and maybe do something about companies like this. I have warned people on Facebook and I intend to run the products on Ebay for the opportunity to expose the tactics of this corrupt company. It is now a matter of principle.
