Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I contacted Eric Williamson after I was advised by a Mortgage Company to contact him. Crazy, huh? Anyway, Eric claimed he could definitely fix the issues that we had so that we could obtain a mortgage. He said that it would $600 for the credit repair and an additional $500 for tradelines. He kept pushing this. He said that we could pay for 1/2 of the tradeline up front and then the other half when it was done.

I wanted to pay via paypal and he insisted that I needed to wire it. I know this was very naive on my part - but I wired $800. I have all of the text messages between us proving that he gave me instructions and saying that we would definitely be able to get a house once he was finished.

My husband called him and wanted to meet with him since he was in Durham, NC and he said that it was his son's birthday and that he would meet with him today - the 13th. Of course, he never answered my husband's calls and then I googled him and found all of these reports.

I did read that someone has contacted Officer McClain at the Durham police department and he has an investigation going on. I left a voicemail for this Officer and hope that if we all ban together - we can get this guy. Office McClain's number is 919-560-4600.

This guy picked the wrong person to rip off because I will not stop until I get my money back. Beware of this guy everyone! I wish that I had googled him prior to sending the money...shame on me for being naive!!!

It is ABSOLUTELY ILLEGAL for any "credit repair" outfit to demand or accept ANY advanced fee before completing the 'credit repair."

This is outlined in the federal Credit Repair Organaization Act which you can download from severy government websites.  You can download it from the FTC at www.ftc.gov.

Let's see the owner of this report EXPLAIN why he is getting paid BEFORE the "credit repair" is accomplished.

Eric Williamson is a TOTAL SCAM ARTIST

My last update was on a positive note for Eric giving him the benefit of the doubt since he PROMISED to refund our money. He of course DID NOT keep his word (is anyone shocked?). He did not do the work that he claimed that he could do and did not refund the money as he promised to do. STAY AWAY from this guy - he is bad news. We all need to get together and get this guy. Report to NC tax Department if he has ripped you off, the IRS and report to www.IC3.gov - this will also aid in a federal prosecution - it is only a matter of time!

I filed this report because of a situation that my sister was in. She did not acutally file the report. Since this report was filed, she did come to a resolution with Eric Williamson and he has agreed to refund her money since the repair wasn't done in the time frame that she needed it done. They were in a hurry and did not allow Mr. Williamson to complete the work that he has started.

He has answered all of her emails and her phone calls and has agreed to refund her money on the 21st. I do believe that he is an honest person and that he will refund her money.

TAKE IT TWO STEPS FURTHER

After reading the same types of complaints, it makes me mad this guy is still out there preying on others.

Some of you have notified the Durham Police Department, this wont really help because the offense is less than $1000. He'd probably get a slap on the hand and spend a few nights in jail.

TAKE IT A FEW STEPS FURTHER!

It is a FEDERAL OFFENSE what this guy is doing. Here is a link to a similar scenario from the Federal Trade Commission website:
http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/09/lhcr.shtm

Also, he is conducting business in North Carolina. Notify the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations. This is the North Carolina Department of Justice. The website is:
http://www.ncdoj.gov/About-DOJ/State-Bureau-of-Investigation.aspx

Want something else? If he is conducting business in North Carolina, he needs to report his earnings with the North Carolina Department of Revenue. Give the Tax Fraud department a call,  they will look into it.
Of course I have the link for you!

Sorry that you and others as what it appears are going through this.  I worked in the mortgage business and came across individuals that offered this service. I would never refer someone that I would not use myself.

As for credit repair, this is a government website that might help and point you in the right direction.
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre13.shtm

As to Eric Williamson, if he has a business name, you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This probably won't help any but at least it will show up if someone googles for his services.

THIS IS WORTH A SHOT THOUGH! Contact the mortgage company that referred him and ask to speak with the broker in charge and tell them what you ran into. If the mortgage company has not been alert about this, they will keep referring business and allowing their customers to get hurt.

Look to see if the mortgage company you are dealing with is allowed to do business in this state. Here is the website to the commissioner of banks:
https://www.nccob.org/online/NMLS/LicenseSearch.aspx

If they are not on there, call the NCCOB immediately. They regulate all lenders that can do business in this state, and are VERY sensitive to PREDATORY practices. You might be able to tell them your scenario and the lender you have been working with, they may or may not be able to help, but it is worth a shot. If many people have complained about the mortgage company, they may revoke their license.

I hope that the mortgage company you are using is not receiving kickbacks for sending business to Eric Williamson, this is illegal in this business.

And Eric, your response to this is classic! Not once did you deny the investigation from the Durham Police Department. GOOD LUCK to you, I will be sure to let all my broker friends know about you in the Triangle area.

the first problem with your false report, is that the official policy i 14 days, it has not been 14 days, yet you post this bs ad anyway.

your questions, emails and texts have all been answered.

yes, i did refuse to meet you on my son's bday, it seems that was a problem for you, i guess ill have to find a way to get over it.  lol  seriously? you have the nerve to post an ad complaining that i wouldnt meet you on my kids bday?  so tacky.

what you have done is unexcusable, and i have ways to deal with people that do such false slanderous things. you really should have given me the chance to do the job in the time allowed before you posted such fasle bs.

                    GOOD LUCK!
