We paid over $130 to book in advance a transfer from Shuttle Marco Polo Airport to Hotel in Venice. Here is what stated within the voucher "Includes: Board your air-conditioned vehicle for a convenient and reliable shuttle service from Marco Polo Airport to Piazzale Roma where you will board a boat which will leave you at the closest jetty to your hotel in Venice Island."

We expected that since we had paid a great deal of money, during the second part of the transfer, a water taxi would take us to the closest possible point to our hotel. However, all we received was a transfer between the airport to Piazzale station. After we arrived at the station, we were greeted by an agent and told that we were on on our own at that point.

We told the agent that we expected to board a water taxi/boat that would take us to closer to our hotel. After making several phone calls, the agent re-confirmed that the water taxi/boat was not included as part of the service. We ended up having to buy 2 water bus tickets, each cost 6.50 Euros which took us closer to our hotel.

So in summary, we paid over $130 (which is a lot of money for a transfer) just a for a short ride from Marco Polo Airport to Piazzale station. We didn't receive the boat transfer that would have taken us closer to the hotel and would have saved us a lot of time and confusion. We even had to spend extra money to buy water bus tickets.

After getting back to the US, we immediately contacted Europeandestinations.com, asking them to resolve the issue.  They told us that it took 2-3 weeks for them to sort things through.  So we have been patiently waiting for them; however, they never tried to update us with any progress.  We had to contact them many times since the initial complaint and always received the same answer, that they "are waiting for response from the supplier."  Therefore, we don't know if they are actually trying to solve the issue or they just want us to forget that it actually happened and move on.
