European Froeign Domestic Auto Repair Inc Troy Kranitz charged my granddaughter Maggie $1040.40 to replace a 24f battery and install a alternator Boca Raton Florida
My granddaughter broke down in front of Walgreens in the Shadowood Sq Plazwa on 441 and Glades Rd in Boca Raton. her car would not start so she went to European Auto rep . From there she called her mother (my daughter Mary who lives in Rochester NY. for approval to repair her Toyota Sienna Van.
My daughter knew Maggie was stuck and went ahead and approved the repairs. Inv #19313 totaled out at $1040.40. 24F battery $169.95 and charged her $52.50 to install battery. They then charged her $450.38 for an alternator and $262.50 to install the alternator plus $4.00 FET battery and $37.57 for shop supplies and taxes of $63.50 totaled $1040.40. I worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co for over 20 years and this job smells like a ripoff to me. They seen my grandaughter was alone and had to call her mother---well ripoff territory. BTW the chilton manual calls for .9 hrs labor to install an alternator and the cost of the alternator was exorbitant plus I have never been charged labor to have a battery I bought from the establishment charge to install the battery
