Expedia A real Rip-Off, Overcharged our vacation in Cyprus by $1700 Bellevue Washington

I used to think EXPEDIA is a reliable company with a policy of "Best Price Guarantee". Not anymore.
I booked a one week vacation at Alion Beach Hotel in Cyprus and Expedia charged me $5000.73. Upon entering the hotel room I found that the maximum permissible charge for this room for the period of one week starting on June 7, 2015 was $3300. This price was verified to me later by letter from the Cyprus Tourism Organization.
EXPEDIA overcharged me by $1700, a real Rip-Off.
I exchanged about 20 E-mail with the Expedia customer service, whose response was mostly irrelevant, evasive or simply not true. Called once customer service and was put on hold for about 20 minutes and then requested to wait some more - zero results. Wrote a letter Barry Diller, Expedia chairman, a couple of month ago but received no response.
Looks to me like a real bogus company - think twice before you book anything from Expedia.
