Express Transactions-Steve Telemarketing Scam 1235 Notre-Dame West Suite 410Montreal Quebec
On Tuesday July 22, 2009 I received a call from a man by the name of Steve who said he was calling to confirm a delivery of paper supplies for our credit card terminals. He proceeded to inform that the price would not go up and we would be charged only 91.00. He then confirmed our mailing address and said delivery could be expected in 6-7 business days. I'd never heard of our company dealing with Express Transactions, so I asked for his contact phone number. He became pushy and informed me the number would be on the delivery when it arrived. That's when I became very suspicious. I again asked for his phone number, he repeated his earlier statement, I asked again, and he hung up.
I searched for Express Transactions on the internet, and the only listing I found was on Rip Off Report-I phoned and spoke to a supervisor. I asked to be removed from their system, and she informed that our company was not in their system. I asked to speak to "Steve" and she said he might be in their sales department, but she could not transfer me. She claimed that this guy has been misrepresenting himself as working for Express Transactions. Watch out for this scam!
