We bought a 1996 Honda passport that was advertised on Facebook as if it was a private sale. When we get to the address, it's a car lot. The salesman Dave told us the valves were just replaced, drove the truck for 3 days and saw smoke pouring out of the engine. Called Dave and he said he'd look at it. Dave messaged us and said it needed a main valve cover gasket and the had to find the part. It apparently took a week to find the part, then he tells me I have to pay $200 to have it fixed. I argued that he gave his word that they had taken care of that before we bought it.....he had one excuse after another..

So I just said fine, go ahead and fix it. Another week goes buy with me checking on it every day and it's never done, for one so called reason or another. Today Dave calls and says it's finished. So I go to the lot and they tell me its not done but I can stop by the shop it's at to check on it. The mechanic was really great and told me the truck was finished three days ago and no one picked it up! So, now it's been almost two weeks and my husband and I have had to take cabs and busses to and from work. The mechanics also told me that the truck was missing TWO valve gaskets and was pouring out oil.....soon Dave totally gave us some BS story the whole time. And a truck that was supposed to be $1300 is costing us over $2000. We also found a crack in the radiator so had to buy that too. These people are running some kind of scam and I don't want anyone else to go through what we have!

In your opening remarks, you stated this car was advertised as of it was being sold by a private owner. This means you fully thought the seller was a private owner. You get there and surprise, surprise, you find out you were lied to because it was a dealership. Since at that exact point YOU found out you were dealing with dishonesty, why did you even bother to get out of the car, let alone reward them for their dishonesty by giving them what they wanted? As per your report, they showed you in no uncertain terms their true colors yet you fully and very willingly played doormat and went along with it. Go ahead get mad at me for what I said but this is very obviously what YOU did and you are paying the price!
