Eyemasters Scam employees out of benefits Ripoff Glendale Arizona
When I was hired at Eyemasters I was told I was full time and that I would recieve benefits.What I was not told was that the manager who hired me changed my status to part time one month after I was hired. She failed to tell me this,because she would look better having more part time employees than full time.(for whatever reasons,im sure she got some sort of a bonus for having more part timers).So I was working full time hours,but was not receiving any vacation hours, medical , dental,personal time off , etc. that i should have been getting.I found out a few months later,when I tried to sign up for benefits, and use my personal day,that because she secretly changed my status,my hours were not accumilating.When I told my Managers,they just gave me the run around,and acted like it was no big deal.When i mentioned that I wanted retroactive for all the time they screwed me out of,they told me "they didn"t know if they could do that.finally Iwent over their heads to human Resources,andafter a lot of explaining, they finally changed my status. I got fed up and quit.But what they did was highly illeagal and immoral.
