EZ Ride Shuttle San Diego Sleeping and Driving as Hazardous as Drinking and Driving San Diego California
Sleeping and driving is as hazardous as drinking and driving. We would never hire passenger carriers known for drinking and driving, would we? Terrifying, erratic driving behavior also occurs during sleeping and driving. An appalling incident with San Diego's EZ Ride Shuttle highlights the minimal requirement of respect for value of human lives in a vehicle.
Driver fell asleep several times, swerving across lanes on I-5 South, while transporting us from Solana Beach to San Diego Airport
An EZ Ride Shuttle employee reported previous sleeping and driving incidents with same driver
Internal incident report was made but EZ Ride Shuttle retains the employee following 4-day suspension
Owner denied refunds regardless of incidents en route, because passengers were not injured
Owner maintains feeling safe during transport is not included in ride fee
No one should have to die before passenger carriers take full responsibility. The owner's inaction on previous sleeping and driving reports, maintaining the driver's employment, and denying refunds to frazzled riders demonstrate his inexcusable lack of accountability.
