FAMILY CREDIT COUNSELING CORPORATION - FCC Ripoff was accually the cause for my bad credit lied set me back in payments accumulated MORE interest LAUDERDALE LAKES Florida
Thank god this site exist. DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS CREDIT COUNSELING COMPANY.. THEY EVEN KEPT MY INTIAL DEPOSIT!! WHEN THERE "SUPPOSED" TO BE HERE TO HELP US BECOME DEBT FREE. AND TODAY 1 1/2 YEAR LATER, MY CREDIT STILL SUFFERS SEVERLY BECAUSE OF "FCC". MY CREDIT SCORE IS NOW 590. BEFORE FAMILY CREDIT COUNSELING , IT USE TO BE 750.
I just came across it because I was angry in search FCC's contact phone number. They dont ever have a customer service number on the letters they send me. (when my credit was dam near excellent I had a little financial problems) , FCC TOLD ME to STOP MAKING PAYMENTS and not to worry because after they took over all late charges, and payments would not actually be charged nor would it go on my credit report because they will take care of them and this a "typical thing" and that my accounts would be "RE-AGED" and made current after first payment.(before this I was up to date with all my bills). They didnt make any payments for me for about 4-5 months. made my credit go down the drain, I got hit up with close to 4-6 hundred dollars in late fees, and on top of that stress. I was told by them in the verrry begining that they would make my final payment with the intial deposit amount I had given them. when my balance was down to almost the intial deposit amount , I contacted them to make that final payment but they told me that since I paid my debt off earlier than scheduled, the intial deposit is now non refundable. (WHEN IN THE BEGINING THEY "ENCOURAGED" ME TO PAY IT OFF SOON AS POSSIBLE). I told them I was mislead by one of there reps but in response they had the nerve to tell me "that is not possible"???? so just trying to get it over with i told them the next automated debit they take to send it to one particular account because i paid off all others and brought the balance down on the last one to the intial deposit amount expecting them to make that last payment. these dumbassas for the last 5 months still keep paying the a divided amounts to all creditors when i have repeatedly called them and addressed the problem.
unorganized, not ever current even if you tell them 20 times, bad customer service, I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
