Gingerelle,
I am very sorry that you had a bad experience with Fantastic Sams. As each Fantastic Sams is independantly owned and operated, I personally wanted to tell you that I just opened the Fantastic Sams in Baraboo as of November 16th 2012. As you may have known Fantastic Sams left the location that they were in. However, I dont know the owners or what exactly happened I can only speculate. I myself am a hairstylist, and fully understand when you say your hair is your thing! I wanted to reassure you that I have 8 of the best stylist on my staff. I personally can guarantee you that my girls will listen to what you want.

I too went to Fantastic Sams in Summerville SC. I asked the girl for a "bob" and walked out of the salon with about an inch of hair on my head and in some spots less than. My hair is extremly important to me and I want it back! The manager of the store agreed to pay for my extensions but I think once he found out how much this was going to cost decided against it. He says he will pay for one of his girls at another Fantastic Sams to do it but I must purchase the hair. This is not fair!!! Rest assured I will not take this laying down! I have been trying to contact the main office all day and I will not stop untill they fix this problem that they created. Its not my fault that they hire incompetent employees.

I went to fantastic Sams to get my hair trimmed. I had just recently got a wonderful haircut up in Nashville, TN from a woman owns her own hair salon, who happens to live next to my mother. The hair cut was wonderful from there (have to get the place and give it here so others from Nashville, TN can go there !!! So as I said went to Fantastic Sams and got a hair cut..I told the woman how I wear my hair and I came out looking like I was wearing a mullet....OH dear...it took me 3 months to trust another one (I live in Memphis, TN and only visit my parents when the kids are out of school) It was horrible. Not only that but I took my oldest daughter in there , she also told them what she wanted and she came out looking like she had put her head in a blender!!! It was awful.... Never again will I go to a Fantastic Sams because they are FAR from fantastic.....

I must say that alot of the Sams companies have many inexperianced stylist but i have been with that company for 7 years and if you get into a salon with the right owner then you get the right styist. Not all Sams hire stylist right out of school. The salon I worked for was the BEST in Las Vegas and I'm not just saying that but unfortunatly the salon had many owners until the right one came along and she was the best. She paid great and she only hired the best stylist too bad the ones she thought were great styist had bad habits of stealing so she had to close, but she had great stylist. So my bottom line is that if anyone feels uncomfortable sitting in anyones chair, you have the right to get up and walk out and call the owner.

i am an experienced stylist, over 10 yrs of doing hair. i have worked for several fantastic sams. every time i worked there,id be asked by other girls to show them and teach them basic cuts! one time i remember having a young girl just out of hair school ask me how to do a basic end trim on a customer. fantastic sams seems to want the new inexperienced ppl at their salons. that way they can pay minimum wage and no incentives! most stylists like myself leave sams for better salon jobs after gaining experience! to me,f. sams is the mcdonalds of hair salons!
