FANTASY ISLANDS LLC, FANTASY ISLANDS BBQ INC FANTASY ISLANDS BBQ -RIPPED OFF BY BAIT AND SWITCH! MURRIETA, California
Our family bought a barbeque island from FANTASY ISLANDS BBQ in January 2008 while at a home show in Anaheim CA. We agreed to take delivery in June 08. When the bbq island arrived it was a FLOOR MODEL rather than the new product we were promised. The stucco had been damaged and patched poorly, the tile was chipped, the lights didn't work, the stereo system and bbq cover were not included.
We immediately contacted their management and discovered that their paperwork had been altered after the sale and that our salesman had died! We were told they would honor our paperwork/contract and send us a NEW island July 3rd. We began trying to contact the company prior to delivery date only to find that they had gone out of business. They never returned our calls so my husband paid the factory a visit. It was deserted.
We have attempted to dispute the credit card claim because we did not receive the product we were contracted to receive, however according to a Bank of America WorldPoints representative you cannot dispute a credit card charge paid for via a credit card access CHECK.

Ray Baskett has moved to Florida to rip people of as well. He ripped off a bunch of customers in Cali and ran away from his problems to Florida.
If you all want to file a class action or civil suit against him he definitely has the resources to pay you back and then some.
