Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Let's start with the driver academy first off they eliminate two thirds of the class very quickly. If you stay there and do not live nearby you will sleep in the quarters at the school with possibly three people. During the course of the class tahe very sleazy con man named Greg Peace will pretend to be your friend but at the same time tell you about the ultimatum of "work for this company one year or pay 3 grand".Some threats he used with my class was that the company could: send collection companies after you, put liens on your vehicle, and my favorite take your cdl away. The only one that held up was having a collection company call me after I quit, they stopped calling after a period of no answer from me. The threats from Greg Peace are nothing more than scare tactics. Don't pay the $3000 back it's not worth it Now let's say you were unfortunate enough to make it through training and go out with a trainer. Training will be hell. They run you as a team and you will be out for six weeks if not more( I was out for 7). My trainer was a wanna-be hard a*s who liked to hear himself talk and seemed to make the job seem harder than it is. During this process you will be paid 455 gross a week which was more than I made as a solo driver for this company. It gets worse lol. When I stayed as a company driver after training miles were ok but slowly dropped to a lot of sitting time and up to half of my miles being empty unpaid miles. My last weeks I didn't get more than 1500 miles most weeks my typical load I was getting had me driving 500 miles loaded but then about that many empty with a good day of sitting time due to a late delivery time that will earn you nothing. When taking to the other classmates I heard similar stories of getting around 1200 miles a week screw that. If you don't scan your paperwork in right you will hear nothing from them. My first pay day rolled around with nothing due to me not scanning my bills and only the trip sheet. But if you forget to scan a Lumper check for instance they will take it out of your check. I quit as they were in their process of being bought by KLLM. So this was a while back and not sure how they operate now. But still let this be a warning from someone who has been there. If you have to work for this company don't hesitate to quit early and find better jobs, they will screw you over so don't hesitate or feel guilty to do it to them. Bottom line this is a terrible company to work for with little reason to stay if you already are here. Check other ratings of this company of this company if you don't believe me. If you need experience I would recommend Roehl transport they offer the best hometime I have seen for a new driver such as regional and the hometime fleets regardless of experience.
