Fido's Puppy Shop ripoff warranty very sick dog over $1,000.00 in vet bills since last March I still haven't received a penny back North Port Florida
We bought Snickers ,A toy Lhasa Apso on Jan.31,2004 from Fido's Puppy Shop. She came with a Warranty up to $1,000.00 for the first year.
Starting on March 11th we starting sending in Vet bills. We were following the rules of the warranty to the letter.
This is October 4th 2004 and we still have not received one red cent. I have contacted both the store and Colorado where the warranty comes from many times. Either they lost our paper work(4 times) or they are still working on it.
Snickers will always have flare ups of red mange and each flae up means a dip a week for 5 weeks at $35.00 a dip. Along with this she has to also have skin scrapings done at $18.00 each. Snickers was ours for only 3 days when she needed nebulizer treatments. The store also forgot to mention that she had had hernia surgery also.
Snickers was about 3 months old when all hell broke loose. Not only did she have red mange-but a secondary skin infection. She was so sick that my vet threw up his hands and said he just didn't know how to treat her. Six vets later we found a wonderful vet.
I did go right to the store to let them know how very sick she was and they were not interested! "What do you want from me?" That was the response I got.
We have spent over $1000.00 in vet visits so far. We love Snickers and don't regret for one second getting her-but we feel very very ripped off!
