I agree with the other comment on this report. Just about nywhere you go once a product has been modified (in your case narrowed) it cannot be returned. Second of all if the shelf actually said "almost perfect" then right there it tells you that merchandise does have small (usually appearance) defects. The fact that your english wasn't good can't really be an excuse because then what, anywhere that has a return policy someone can say oh well I can't read english so it doesn't apply to me? It doesn't work like that. I work the customer service desk at a large store and if a sign to a product says a lower price than the customer was charged then we actually honor the product for free. Same if a product is sold "as is" its not dependant on whether or not the consumer can read english as that would be discrimination to the people that actually live in American and speak english.

Patriot's day is only a state holiday in Massachusetts. Why did that prevent you from going to the store on Monday as suggested, unless the store is located in Boston and then I can see the reason for waiting until Tuesday. Unfortunately, once the watch was modified, there is probably no chance of returning it (which would be the case with most anything that was modified after purchase). As with anything you purchase, you really should look it over carefully before handing over your money. The seller has no idea if you saw the scarrs and decided to buy it anyway or if you just had buyer's remorse and are using the scarrs as an excuse to return it. Is it possible to have the jeweler who made it narrower buff out or touch up the areas that are scarred? Depending on the value of the watch, it may or may not be worth it. Good luck.
