I have used the following 2-page letter several times to beat-down the companies & collectors ... the response has been: letters telling me they are stopping collections, checks for "attorney fees" I demanded from them, corrections to my Experian Credit report. This letter has yet to fail me ...... just insert their name/address and your account number from their letter (leave the case #, etc the same, as they have NO WAY to verify this ....) ONLY CHANGE THE BLUE AREAS IN (--) ***** EXAMPLE LETTER ***** Today's Date Your Name Your Address Your City/state/zip Does 1 through 10 - Bad Company's Name Bad Company's Address Bad Company's City/state/zip Elec;;Trans;;133 :OPEN 1332ff4 With Copy Via Fed-X a/b 466853867 RE: acct#(Your Acct Number) Communication Number 63 A: 005-9256527 (Your Name) vs. (Bad Company's Name) et all. Please be advised that all correspondence relating to the referenced account is being documented and copied to Attorney's General and private counsel in relation to our participation in a class action lawsuit against you. If present or pending action does not presently list you as defendant, your failure to cooperate will open you to such inclusion and exposure of liability. In the event that you are not familiar with the specific circumstances and allegations of consumer fraud surrounding this and perhaps thousands of other accounts relating to this creditor (BAD COMPANY's NAME) please reference any Internet search engine or the Attorney's General office.
