Con-artist sales reps!!!! 2 years ago signed a lease for a 2013 Corolla from Findlay Toyota. The sales rep Steve Borkowski convinced me to lease a Toyota instead of purchasing a used car because "The best thing about a lease is that all the money you put towards the lease goes towards the final price." We sat down with a calculator. Steve Borkowski told me that the car will be valued at $12,000 at the end of the lease. This is the depreciated value after 3 years. I was putting down $2,500 and giving a trade in for $1,500 ($4,000 total). During the lease I will pay $150 ($130 + $20 in tax) per month for 36 months for a total of $4680. $12,000 - $2,500 down $1,500 trade in - $4,680 payments= $3,320. With putting another $2,000 down payment I would pay bout $150 for 1 more year and the car would be mine.
Several mouths ago I found out this was not true. I spoke to a friend of a friend who used to work at Findlay Toyota who told me that $12,000 is the amount that I have to pay to keep the car.
I went in to ask about the terms. When I started talking to Steve Borkowski became very aggressive towards me. Told me " This conversation is going down hill fast." He brought me over to his manager and told him that I "seam to think that I have an escrow account attached to this loan".
This is another Lie. I have no idea what an escrow account is, so how could a think I have one attached to this loan.
I spoke with with the manager and John Barr. Both of whom told me that I got a very good deal with the car and that they lost money. This is also untrue. Since getting my lease I have seen commercials for the same car for $2,000 down and between $165 and $125 a month. I put $4,000 down. How can Findlay Toyota loose money when I put an extra $2000 down.
I have spoken to Findlay Toyota staff, management and corporate. All have apologized that I misunderstood the terms of the lease. There is no misunderstanding. Steve Borkowski and I sat down with a calculator and did the math on the cost of the car.
Findlay Toyota is full of liars and con artist, from top to bottom and will do nothing to keep there word.

You must be mistaking me with someone else. There was never any incident while I was there. I spoke only to reps from Findlay. My conversation with John Barr was over the phone. I have not been in Findlay Toyota for almost 2 years. My ripoff report spans my interactions with Findlay Toyota from June 2014 till it was written in Feb 2015, trying to come to an amicable solution. Which never happened. I stand by my statement that they are conartist. Steve Borkowski lied to me and said I could get an $18K car for $12. In reality it is going to cost me $22k. I kept audio recordings of all my interactions with Steve borkowski and Rick Glen. You replied to the wrong complaint.

I was there. You were not only forceful and unpleasant, you were down right abusive. You made up false claims to the point that my wife,mind you she was busy with our own car deal. On a similar 4 Runner only in a different trim , mentioned out loud to our very pleasant sales person that she heard the whole thing, and not only were you being both condasending you were straight up lying.
And she being the women she is couldn't stand to be quiet. I know you remember me because when I asked you to stop being so nasty in front of my family ,you responded with a whispered threat. . Get a life brother and ask god for forgiveness . Sorry to chime in , but it's been bothering my wife . Sincerely yours Mr. Gould Ps John Barr is real, as is the Findlay way. You my friend are not.
