Fineline Fence Company Shane Davis Fineline Fence Co Threats of physical violence after no replies or communication Commerce Texas
We hired Shane Davis to install a fence around our property on 8/30/16 and left him a $4,500 deposit. We delayed the installation because we had a storage shed installed. Once the shed was installed, we let Shane know we were ready for the install and we wanted to make some modifications to the original contract. He agreed and said he would let us know when he could come out to install.
For the next 4-5 weeks, I attempted to call and email Shane nearly every day, leaving several voicemails, trying to get a date on when he would come to install the fence. He did not return ANY calls/emails/texts etc, but he had plenty of time to post new ads for his services on craigslist.
After fearing the worst, I started researching his company more and reached out to people on Facebook that appeared to be associated with him. One person ended up being his wife, who responded to me and told me this wasn't the first time this has happened, apparently Shane has tried to scew other people over before.
Shane then found out about this conversation and called me screaming over the phone. He threatened to "snap my neck" and that I had messed with the wrong "country boy". He also threatened to send his friends over and that they would "drag me out into the field and beat me until I don't wake up". I calmed him down and explained my concerns with his communication, and he gave me his word that he'd get back to me on a date to install the fence. I immediately reported the threatening call to the local sheriff's department.
I then let Shane know that I don't want him or anyone associated with his business on my property after the threats that were made and I demanded a refund of my deposit. He of course refused.
I will be filing paperwork to sue with small claims.

I wanted to take a moment to reply to this nonsense as these allegations are a false. I have so many postive referrals from customers and have done high end work in 12 states on some of the top farms in the country. This customer wanted to cancel an order, a custom order, weeks after I had paid for the material and he wanred to reduce job from almost 1,000 feet to under 300. He never called 4-5 weeks without reply and I have all texts, emails ans call records to prove this. Also, his allegations about statements from my wifd are false and he is scumfor randomly contacting family friends making false allegations. Feel free to contact me for facts, references etc...even my 2 bankers are on my reference list. Shane

The date we contacted him was 10/14/16 to let him to to proceed. We received an emailed reply on 10/17/16 stating he had no date, another on 11/1/16 with no date with an excuse of him being sick and another on 11/7/16 with no date. The date the threatening phone call occured was 11/14/16.
