Firestone Complete Auto Care Completely ripped us off for years ! Alcoa Tennessee
My wife and I chose to start going to Firestone in Alcoa in 2009. At the time we had two vehicles, a 1998 Kia Sephia and a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Over the course of a few years both our vehicles had mechanical and electrical problems that absolutely needed to be addressed. We unfortunately put our trust in the men that work for this particular location and they consistently over-charged us for completely bogus work on both vehicles ! Almost every time we took one of the cars in to have a problem fixed we ended up having to return with an almost identical problem if not worse ! They contiually upcharged us for everything they did. We actually had to sell the Kia for scrap after we took it to them about five times for an electrical problem and in the end when I left with it the last time one of the windshield wipers didn't work,...when I inquired about it they glibly told me that they had to disconnect it in order to stop the unknown power drain yet they charged us exubarent prices and said that's the way cars used to be,...one wiper and all. Jeez ! The Pontiac did have a few major problems and after spending tons of money for work on it time and time again,..I'm talking probably over a thousand dollars for "repairs and service" that lasted maybe a couple of months only to have to return and they add additional problems or increase the cost of the initial one. Upon our final visit I inquired how much evrything they listed would be in total and they quoted me $1482.48. I went to another auto place here in town...Auto Pro on Gill St. Alcoa, Tn. 37701. I showed them the list and they offered a no cost diagnostic to compare findings. With the exception of two things Firestone had listed that did not need to be addressed at all, their total service charge ended up being $ 965.70 !! And they actually fixed our air conditioning and included it in that total whereas Firestone said that the A/C would be an additional $355.00 ! The so called mechanics at Firestone are nothing more than two bit scamming thieves that work on commission and lie about auto problems to fill their own pockets ! I am officially boycotting Firestone as a whole and would implore anyone reading this to do the same. They are cheats and don't back up their services with any kind of substantial work ! If you have a car and live in Alcoa Tn., don't take it to Firestone unless you're just simply a glutton for punishment !
