Good times and Bad with Firestone. I had a good relationship with Firestone to start. I would go there regularly, to get my oil changed, my inspections, routine maintance, etc and never had a moment's trouble (other then trying to actually get in to get the service done). They replaced all my tires, I choose one model and they ended up only having two, so they called and said they would upgrade me to the next tire at the same price I was paying because of their error, that was wonderful, they did a fantastic job. Then things started going downhill. I dropped my car off one day for a oil change and tire rotation and walked the rest of the way to work (only like mile), telling them I needed to pick up by 4:00pm, they assured me, it should be done long before that and waiting for me when I am ready. So I return to pick it up at 4:45pm, I was running late myself and I went to get my car It had not even been touched; they had done nothing and had my car for over 6 hours. Apparently my service order was placed behind others who should have been behind me, so I left that day with nothing done, however was told they would do it for me, whenever free of charge (This was a fine offer, however due to my schedule it is hard to get my car in to begin with), so I rescheduled. I went to pick up my car, they tried to charge me, and of course the man who offered me the free service was not there. Finally after 25 mins, they spoke with a serviceman in the back who remembered the incident it that is was free. What a waste, why was this not notated in my account. Then I went back and got my brakes replaced, the same day I left, I noticed my brake pedal was shaking (which it did not do before), I immediately called and told them, they looked at it again (tried to charge mehaha, yeah right) and said nothing was wrong. I left and went to another shop that had to fix the brake pads; they were not on tightly and were moving, that is what I was feeling. No, it would not have prevented the brakes from working, but the pad gets worn down much quicker, upon leaving the other establishment, there was no more shaking. I went to Firestone with the bill (not much $47.00) and requested they reimburse me, since they did not put the pads on correctly to begin with. They refused and I have not been back since, nor my other family members I had referred (in fact, I received $9.00 oil changes several times, because of the customers I sent them). In all the above situations, I did nothing wrong, I made appointments, had my car there and clearly told them what I needed each time. They continued to make errors and mistakes, while they may have been minor. The fact they could not find the loose brake pads (on the brakes they just installed) and it took the other mechanic 2 mins to diagnose (he made the suggestion of what he thought it was over the phone, before even looking at my car) and correct in maybe 20 mins is unacceptable. Firestone says nothing was wrong, well it was shaking when I left them and was not when I brought it in and then after another mechanic corrected the brake pads, it has not shaken since. No more Firestone for me!!
