I purchased a First Alert safe. Within two months of purchasing, the safe malfunctioned and would not open, with all my valuables locked inside. The override key did not work, and it was completely dead. I had to spend $125 on a locksmith to crack it open. When I called the company, they said my model of safe was conveniently not covered under warranty for a locksmith reimbursement. They then told me that they would not even issue a refund. This was a complete and total ripoff and scam for a useless piece of equipment. It did the opposite of making me feel safe and secure at home.
