Back in April I was able to pay my bill by using Western Union's quick collect. The code city was Consumer, PA. However, with no one to actually confirm the transaction I would advise it at all.

Yesterday in my mail I finally received my July Newport News statement (now from an entirely new company called Card Member Services) it still did not have my June payment applied and there was of course $35.00 in late charges applied. I phoned the number listed on the new billing statement which is not a toll free number but I called nonetheless. To make a very long story short, all of the Eddie Bauer, Newport News, & Spiegel customers have been turned over to a Collection Agency which will now show on all of our credit reports. I was stunned when I found this information out. Uma, the c/s rep that I spoke with said that FCNB turned over all of these accounts through a bankruptcy and that they (CMS) were are only contact from here on in. Unless we are able to transfer the balances onto another credit card. You are able to make payments over the phone (for an $8.00 charge) to 516-876-8706. Or you can send your payments to the following: MBIA PO Box 5811 Hicksville, NY 11802 To dispute any and all late charges that we have all incured due to our payments being sent to Oregon instead of the new address (which CMS were told that ALL customers received a post card in June with the new mailing address to send their payments to-which were never received by myself or other numerous friends who also have charges) we must send a letter within 60 days of the statement to the following: MBIA PO Box 9204 Old Bethpage, NY 11804 From what I was told, once the letter has been received, it will up to MBIA whether or not to delete the late payment charges. My June payment which was sent to them on the 23rd finally cleared my bank on July 14th!! This way, FCNB was able to turn all of our accounts over to collection. Certainly not fair to any of us but not sure what else we can all do in order to get these accounts out of collection and off of our credit reports. Any suggestions you might have once you have read this, please contact me back. Hope some of this information helps you out. Thank you,
