We purchased a 1997 Ford Taurus at Terry York Ford (now out of business) in Huntington Beach, Calif. They sold us an extended warranty through FXSC. They did not state that it was a warranty other than a Ford warranty. This past May, our car broke down out of town, and was towed to Valley Ford, in Hanford Calif.

We were told by the service manager to fax in the last 5 maintenance receipts, to verify that the maintenance had been kept up on the car. We faxed the receipts to the FXSC as instructed, and then were told that FXSC would NOT cover the repairs under warranty due to neglect. It did not matter that we had recepts to prove that the maintenance had, in fact, been done.

We called FXSC and spoke to Darren. He could not tell us which inspector it was the was supposedly sent to look at the car. He told us to call Valley Ford, where the car was. Valley Ford, in turn, also did not know who it was that inspected the car. They said to call Ernie at FXSC. Ernie did not know who it was either.

He told us to call Valley Ford. Back and forth we went for at least an hour and a half, and not one person could find out who it was the inspected the car. Yet the claim was denied. Ernie told us that we would need to pay 150.00 to have someone else sent out to inspect the car.

The warranty cost us almost 2000.00 and we are still paying it with the car payment to Ford Motor Credit. And we are still without a car. The customer service at FXSC is awful and we have gotten no where trying to talk to them. It is nearly impossible to get through to them at the 800 number and if you do they argue and then disconnect you.

This is a plight from hell, and if we had known then what we know now, we certainly would not have bought another Ford, and definately would not have excepted the sheeny, underhanded, low-down, dirty deal that we got. We are not sure what to do at this point or where to turn for help. God Help me, and any other poor sucker who has to deal with this company.
