We have a 2001 Buick LaSabre which developed transmission problems. The dealer told us it needed a new transmission. The dealer contacted First Extended Service Corp. on Thursday, Oct. 16,2003 for authorization to repair or replace the transmission. It is now Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003 and no authorization has been given. The dealer has called them several times; we have called them and all we are told is that it is being looked out and will be expedited.

This is our second experience with having repair done on our car. The first time it took over two weeks to authorize repair. Meanwhile we are without a car.

We bought the car from Signor Motors in Corvallis, OR and we thought we were buying a GM service contract. We did not know until recently that it was a third party contract and GM will give us no help. We were certainly misrepresented in this transaction and First Extended Service Corp. is a nightmare to deal with.
