Called customer service a total of 3 times over this issue and was told it was all taken care of on the first 2. I accidentally paid $100 on payment due vs. $200, called right away and paid the other $100 while on the phone with AJ at 4:06 p.m. 1/6/09. He said he saw payment come thru and all would be ok, no late charge or interest rate increase.

Low and behold, next bill came and late charge was charged AND they said my rate was increasing to 29.99% from 2.99 and 3.99 on previous balance transfers. Called AGAIN, spoke with Kammy on 1/23/09 at 10:00 a.m. She assured me all was ok and she credited back the $39 late charge and made sure interest rates were taken care of and would stay the same with no increase.

Low and behold AGAIN, bill comes 3rd time and they had increased my rate to 9.99%. I called on 2/18/09 at 8:15 p.m.and spoke to Nancy in Atlanta who said she could not help me, would have to speak to a supervisor. Spoke to Kinoi, supervisor who told me "too bad", it is what it is and that I'm "lucky it didn't go up to 29.99%" and he would not fix it. Said he didn't care who I had spoken to previously, there were no notes in my account and it was too bad what the other reps had told me. He refused to give me his last name and said the other reps had apparently given me fake extention numbers, said his was 4931. He refused to honor anything the other 2 reps had promised, so I closed my account.

This so-called bank flat out lied to me on 2 separate occassions to get me off the phone, and refuses to honor what their employees promised. Increasing your rate for economic conditions is one thing, but flat out lying to a customer on 2 separate occassions is another, and then a supervisor treating a customer like dirt is the ultimate. That's what I get for signing up with a low-life unknown bank.
