First National Credit got in my mailbox too!
All I can say is, thank you "Rip-Off Report." I was extremely frustrated with my Mastercard company and contemplating transferring the balance to a card with a lower interest rate. I opened my mailbox and there was First National Credit's certificate for the $15,000 gold card approval.
After considering the invite, I thought what great timing! But my financial mind kicked in and I started questioning many of the same things others did. Why no contact telephone number? What type of "Gold Card" (M/C or Visa)? And, despite the tiny disclaimers on the certificate, regarding Federal and California law, where is all of the Membership info or FDIC certification? So I thought I would attempt a search on the web before mailing everything, and funny they don't come up in anything except the wonderful "Rip-Off Report!" Thank you again, while I still have to put up with my Mastercard company, it beats getting scammed.
I will be doing my part to report this fraud to the post office, first thing tomorrow!
