First National Government Grant Assured me there was $12,500 in grants and a hundred dollars in emergency cash waiting for me. Not Sure Pennsylvania
For the past three days, my cell phone was ringing off the hook with the strangest number i had ever seen. The number was 001819 and for the most part no one was replying when i answered.
Today i answered the phone and did not say anything. I waited for about 20 seconds and then a lady with a carribean accent introduced her self. This lady told me that there was annual payment of 12,500 dollars available to me.
This payment was from the national government and did not have to be payed back. In order to get this money They needed a one time fee of $29.99. Red lights had already started flashing but i continued the conversation because I was trying to figure out if it was a scam.
The lady with the accent asked me if I had a bank account. I told her NO, only my fiancee has one. "That's ok we can use her information if you know it." **ALERT ALERT ALERT** I asked her for her name. "....Sarah." **ALERT**
When Sarah started asking me for my fiancees account and routing number, I was in shock. I have never seen such blatant disregard for security, privacy, or anonimity. I told sarah that i was in a rush to leave my house and asked if she would cal back tommorow(2/23/05). she said ok and I hung up the phone.
after reading all the bad information in the internet about these people, I am not sure what to say. Please be aware and afraid of this scam. and please post your experiences.
