First Niagara Insurance Brokers.......Doug Lundy Is No Good! ripoff Niagara Falls Ontario
My girlfriend has a minor accident and our car wasn't even damaged but the other car had some front end damage. Naturally i called my Insurance Broker to find out what my best options would be. We learned that the cost of repairing the other car would be $1500 so our two options would be to pay this by taking out a loan or borrowing money, or filing a claim wiht our insurance company.
I explained this to Doug and he said sice nit was my first claim and minor and i wasn't claiming anything on our own vehicle out insurance would jump around $20-30 monthly....which i could live with i suppose as i really didn't want to borrow money to pay for this.
Anyway we filed with insurance and everything was done and over with. Renewal time comes and i get my new application and guess what...seems my insurance has jumped from $160 to $400!!!Not the $20-30 dollars he informed me.
Obviously we have brokers to help us with insurance and hope they know what they are talking about therefore usually take their advice as helpful.....WELL I GUESS NOT IN DOUG'S CASE! He clearly has no clue whats going on after how many years of being a broker....look old old he is! Clearly he doesn't care about his clients..all he cares about is making money off of them and playing golf!
When i got my renewal naturally i called him to find out what the hell was going on and how he was going to fix HIS error. Another thing about Doug is he is insanely slow and will return your calls days later. Not very customer service oriented eh...must be to busy playing golf.
Took me another two weeks d** around with him and playing phone tag and getting his b** answers and telling me he was looking into it..YA RIGHT!
I said enough of him and no more money for him from my pocket! But because he F*** me around with horrible advice no other insurance company would give us a decent rate...Thanksfully my girl found ING who was reasonable and fair and returns my calls promptly unlike Doug Lundy who is possibly the worst broker ever!
On a side note my girlfriends parents used to deal with Doug Lundy when they first bought a home. They had home owners insurance and was supposed to cover replacement if anything happened with their content.
Well they had a fire and naturally looked to their insurance to help get back some of their belongings that were damaged. Its what they paid money for the insurance for no doubt. Well it seems when they went to do that they found out Doug Lundy had altered their content insurance without authorization from them and now instead of having the same coverage they were pretty much screwed and could not get replacement value on their items. DOUG LUNDY IS THE WORST BROKER EVER!!!
I share this story so others can stay away from him..He doesnt deserve to be a s** broker and act and do whatever he wants to do not giving two s** about his clients...he simply needs to retire already!
