Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

The card came in mail. I was interested since I needed money. But, it has its own fineprint with LOTS of HIDDEN FEES! They charged annual fee upfront. which is supposed to be collected monthly. Ok!

Their Customer service is very poor! I had to ask, are you there?? when they kept silent!

I decided for an increase in credit limit. They said "There is a fee upto 50% of the current credit limit on the card" WTF????

Then I decided to close after one billing cycle since I found that they are NOT trustworthy!

I asked for the refund of the annual fee which was collected upfront. Response: No! Because, I just passed the refund date by JUST 1 day! What??

Atleast, a prorated refund of the annual fee?? They said, they don't do the refund! This got my nerve! I HATE this First Premier Bank Credit Card!

I don't recommend thier services to anyone!!!

Not a Rip-off if you don't read the fine print

Companies like First Premier Bank solicit business from those of us with bad credit. I received the same thing in the mail less than a month after my bankruptcy had discharged. However, before applying I read the ENTIRE thing. All the fine print. Every fee, every Possible fee, every finance charge, how the charges are calculated, etc. In my case, I did apply simply because 1) I am working to rebuild my credit 2) there is no way on God's green earth I will be able to get credit without high interest rates, deposits, etc. 3) I've accepted that fact, but I know that using credit wisely will benefit me in the long run. I know I will have to pay high prices now (they also disclose that you will be charged a percentage if you ask for a credit limit increase) in order to make my dream to own a home for my children and I in years to come.

So, in rebuttal of your rip-off report- you should have read all the fine print BEFORE applying, so that YOU will be aware of what YOU are getting yourself (not First Premier - they are in business to make money like all credit card companies) into. Not trying to be the Devil's Advocate or anything, but from someone who has been there and is trying to be responsible, First Premier isn't ripping you off. They are giving you an offer of credit in return for some collateral in the form of Annual fees, app fees, etc. If anyone has been ripped off, it's First Premier simply because you 'signed on the dotted line' and in essence agreed to all the fine print - that you, a competent adult, did not read.

But..it needs addressing..

The BLABBERMOUTH know it all First Premier Bank VICTIM STEVE apparently posted and I quote .."Although I agree that First Premier Bank engages in unscupulous lending practices, I have to give you some advice after reading your post.

You stated that your reason for getting the card was that you "needed money".

You obviously shouldn't have a credit card,

because you don't know that credit is not money. Credit is debt which

you have to repay, so if you "need money" how are you going to repay

this debt?

If you need money, get a job. If you have a job and still need money,

get another job. If you have 2 jobs already and still need money, you

need to take a serious
look at your lifestyle and do some serious

cutbacks in expenses."
