Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
First Revenue Assurance is harassing us. They have called us at least three times a week for the last six months. Some days they call three or four times with the phone calls starting at 8 in the morning. I have two small children, so for me this is very annoying!

The first time they called us, they said that they were collecting for Fifth Third Bank for an overdrafted bank account. My husband had an account there about 5 years ago, so we thought that we'd look into it. We keep a very good record on our debt and frequently receive our credit report. This however, was not on his report. When we told First Renvenue this they got very upset and tried to con us into paying them.

My husband told them many times that he wanted something in writing with a letterhead and explaination of debt. They claimed that they had sent it though the mail a few weeks before and actually said, " You must have lost it or threw it away by accident" I check all of the mail personally and would have known if they sent us something. I consider that an attack on my character and organizational skills!

After many harassing, " When are you going to pay?" and " Do you want to pay with a check or credit card?" calls we gave them a taste of there own medicine. We asked what the account number was, when the account was opened, and when the account was transfered to them. All reasonable questions that they could not answer. They told us, " If you want to know that you'll have to call the bank. So we did.

Fifth Third bank found my husband in the data bank but said the account was closed and cleared with NO outstanding balance! They also have never heard of First Revenue Assurance and it was not one of their collections agency affiliations. Fifth Third told us not to pay them because no balance was due.

First Revenue Assurance will not take no for an answer, even though this is a fradulent debt. I have been cursed at and hung up on but you can bet that they will NEVER get any money from us! They can call all day, everyday until I die for all I care. You should not pay them either and deal directly with whomever you owe money to. That is, if you even owe money.
