Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We've read many other complaints here on Ripoffreport and also on Cxxxxx(((REDACTED))).Com. The Internet can be wonderful at times.

FRA has been harassing us for many MONTHS. We had new phone numbers assigned us over a year ago by Sprint, who we've been customers of since they were who knows who many years ago, one of the numbers was of the birth year of a late relative, so we requested a new number, we all know that so far unless we want to pay a substantial fee, we can not choose a cheap or free "vanity" number, so they assigned us a new number. UNFORTUNATELY, it was one that someone in DEEP DOODOO had gotten rid of, a business person who obviously filed bankruptcy and left all his vendors holding the bag.

We finally had it with their DAILY harassing calls asking us to call the 888 number, with NO other information. We thought perhaps it was one of our insurance companies, or a company that bought out one of our insurance companies and wanted to welcome us to their network........WELLLLLLLLL BS!!!!

This moring we phoned them, only to find out they are a COLLECTION AGENCY, we first connected with Sussie Bennet, who, after we (I) began to explain the situation started coughing & coughing & coughing and pretended to not be able to hear me than disconnected the call. I than phoned back, this time reaching Ash Molina, who also disconnected the call once I began explaining the situation. I than was forced to call back once again, this time connecting with Anthony, who transferred me back to Sussie Bennet, she was again VERY RUDE, talking down to me, belittling me, all with a Holier-than-thou attitude, not allowing me to speak or finish what I had to say to her, saying "Ok, wooooooooow, sooooo, you're not the gentleman, okayyyyyyyyyyyy, Have a Merrrrry Christmas, than hung up.

I'm now sending a letter snail mail to their CEO, Mr. Watse Krol, we are also very suspicious of that name, as it sounds made up. Advising them they need to do their homework, verify that the number they are harassing no longer belongs to the person they are seeking, if they continue to harass us, we will do everything in our power to secure legal action in the form of a single OR Class action suit. They can not be allowed to harass those of us that are NOT their intended targets.

Anyone who is retaining counsel in a matter similar to ours or any class actions are more than welcome to contact us at (((REDACTED)))(AT)Yahoo(DOT)Com. This is an email we created recently for this forum only and will check it once or twice a month.

Here are links to FRA that we found that may be helpful to you.......please remove the @ and .coms like this (AT) (DOT) so the links will work, some sites and maybe even this one have programs scripted to delete such links. But we are just trying to do our part to help other potential victims....

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome! Harrassment?

Collection Agencies very often will violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA).  However, in this case it does not sound as if there is harassment or violations..yet.

We finally had it with their DAILY harassing calls asking us to call the 888 number, with NO other information. We thought perhaps it was one of our insurance companies, or a company that bought out one of our insurance companies and wanted to welcome us to their network........WELLLLLLLLL BS!!!!

- So how many days of these DAILY calls did you get before you decided to call back.  If you don't call them how are they supposed to know that it no longer belongs to that person.  By the way they did not give any information on the message because the same FDCPA restricts them from giving out information unless they are taking to the debtor(or someone the debtor has allowed to communicate on their behalf).  Collection Agencies are going to talk rude, but again there is no violation for people that are rude.

If once you tell you are not that person but they continue to call you then can take the next step.  That would be to send them a letter stating that you are not that person and they are no longer allowed to contact you.  Send this by Certified Mail with return receipt.  If after that they continue to call you can take them to court for FDCPA violation and could get damages of $1000.  Since it is a small amount you can usually handle this in Small Claims.
