Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I would have to agree with Arthur about this scamming collection agency. You can tell them a debt is not valid, send them a letter explaining why, yet they still call. Not only do they call, but they are too lazy to call you in person they have an automated computer call you instructing you to call back and of course don't say why or what is it regarding and of course don't mention they are a collection agency. Proof of their ignorance is in their response to Arthur, "Please always remember to read the fine print on any contract, in any circumstance.

Being an educated consumer means empowering yourself with tools to make strong decisions. Now that perhaps the roles and responsibilites have been more clearly defined, please call our office at your earliest convience, and please have your checkbook available so that we may handle this matter." Please have your checkbook available, WHAT A MORON, yea thats going to happen.

Being an educated consumer means not putting up with stupid collection agency's crap. I don't know why you called my home and I don't really care, maybe its my cingular bill that I refuse to pay. My phone kept going into roam for no reason, didn't work half the time, so guess what, I am not going to pay for something I couldn't use and then pay 200 dollars in roaming charges. If someone sends you jackas**s a letter explaining in detail why you aren't paying something and that you ARE NOT going to pay it, you dillweeds can't understand spoken or written words and then cross over into the realm of harassment by ignoring the consumer request to stop calling.

But I have confidence that your ignorance will continue but, hey, if you want to waste your time and money, go for it. Oh yea, to anyone out there getting calls from these jacka**es or other collection losers, I have two words for you, CALLER ID, also, get a 1-900 number and give them that number to call you, you can make a fortune with these vultures.

FIRST REVENUE SCREWS PEOPLE INSIDE AND OUT

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I used to work for First Revenue Assurance! They are the worst company ever. All they ever did for me is sexually harass me and all the other female employess that work there. They tell you to collect as much money as you can so you can get bonus, then they cut your bonus...they will lie to you and say whatever it takes to get the money even if they know its wrong. I worked there for 3 yrs and was more than happy when I walked out on them. First Revenue only cares about their management and The owner owns several very expensive homes thats all the employees helped her to get meanwhile she wont even give her collectors the time of day.

In response to Sarah - these dillweeds usually don't even say who they are, or try to conceal the fact that they are a collection agency at all to get you to call them

First off, you need to know what you are talking about before YOU look like a fool. I know it is against the law the say anything about collections or debts to a third party or on a answering machine, what I am saying is, these dillweeds usually don't even say who they are, or try to conceal the fact that they are a collection agency at all to get you to call them or stay on the phone. Also, if someone doesn't answer your first 35 calls they aren't going to answer you next 45 calls, and if you leave a message and no one calls you back, take the hint. If I kept calling you 60 times a month and I knew you didn't want me to call you, that would make me a stalking psychotic retard, right? If you would learn to read, you would have seen that I did notify them that the debt was NOT valid. Whenever I get a letter from a collection agency, I immediately mail them a letter explaining exactly why the debt is not valid and I do the same for the original creditor. Also, when I send it, I give them 30 days to respond to my letter just like they do to me, or I ASSUME THE DEBT IS NOT VALID, and you know what, 9 times out of 10 I hear nothing for a couple of months and my letter is ignored and they try to collect again or pretend like I never sent a letter. I don't need luck or need to study laws, I have NEVER caved to a creditor and always ended up sending them a bill that I should be able to sent to collections for them wasting my time. Now all I need to do is change my number to a 1-900 number that charges 20 bucks the first minute and 45 dollars for each additional minute and give it to these jackass creditors as my home number so I can get rich off all this ignorant collection agencies that can't read or follow the law....... P.S. Sorry if I go off sometimes but collection agencies get me worked up, I know they have a job, but if someone explains why they are not paying and that they are not going to pay, go ahead, put whatever on my credit report, I don't care, then they should leave you alone!!!!!!

FRA is only obeying the law!

I used to work for First Revenue Assurance, and I can tell you that I know first hand how annoying collection agencies can be. Your best bet is to be well informed about collection laws, known as the FDCPA (federal debt collection practices act) which will tell you in detail what a collection agency can and cannot do. First Revenue Assurance (FRA) only leaves messages with no information about what the call is reguarding because it is against the LAW to say anything about collections or debts on an answering machine or to a third party (spouses excluded). They are calling you about your cell phone bill because if you choose not to pay and you have a VALID reason, you must write to them and tell them why within 30 days of the time that you get the first letter from them letting you know that you are in collections (the letter states this). Good luck and study up on those laws, so you know what you are talking about before you bother making yourself look like a fool.
