FRA is a highly reputable collection agency that deals with many different companies in the U.S. they do not choose the actions that are taken against the consumers, those actions are chosen by the contracting agency (cell phone company, etc). If the contracting party chooses to have legal action taken, we have no choice but to do that and they are the ones that set the intrest on the accounts. No one reads the fine print of contracts, believe me! But after going through this little ordeal, you will. Pay the amount owed, know that you should have read the contract and move on. Have a nice day...

Arthur, First Revenue Assurance is a debt collection agency that serves a large client base, including Fortune 500 companies. These companies realize few geographic boundries, therefore, the collection industry must respond in kind. FRA is licensed to perform debt collections in nearly every state in the US and while your debt may not have originated in Colorado, a Colorado agency is certainly authorized to make an attempt to collect on it. With regard to penalties and interest; if applicable, any collection agency will pursue this to the fullest extent that the law allows. As for the latter part of your correspondance, Sir, It seems that needs to be handled by your chosen wireless provider. However, if you've already defaulted on your account, your wireless provider will be less likely to help to resolve your problem until they are paid. FRA has nothing to do with your chosen plan, the quality of your phone, or the "fine print" indicating on nearly every carrier's contract the states, "early terminition will result in an early termination fee". Please always remember to read the fine print on any contract, in any circumstance. Being an educated consumer means empowering yourself with tools to make strong decisions. Now that perhaps the roles and responsibilites have been more clearly defined, please call our office at your earliest convience, and please have your checkbook available so that we may handle this matter.
