Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was desperately seeking a loan for some emergency expenses. I got approved for a $10,000 loan. Spoke with agent Jonathan Taylor and had a contract sent over to me. It stated that in order to secure the loan I would need collataral since I had poor credit. The amount would be 3 months worth of payments. Then I would not have to make a payment until June. While skeptical at first I did end up sending the money to a Ms. Rebecca Tanner in Toronto by Western Union ( I know stupid).

I was told within 1-2 hours my loan would be deposited ( they had the necessary information). I confirmed everything with my representative Jonathan Taylor and waited for him to call me back to confirm. After no response for two hours I left multiple voicemails asking them to reach out. I finally got a call from Kimberly Taylor. She informed me that I would need to send an additional $700.00 to cover the taxes on the loan since they were having issues with American clients pretending to be Canadian. THis was a verification procedure and that I would be reimbursed after 4-5 business days.

I was uncomfortable doing that without obtaining further research and so I spoke with the owner of the company I work with and he offered to look over everything and speak with them to get more information. Here is what we found out :

1. The address listed is inaccurate, its an empty building. Google search shows a truck parked out front blocking the address

2. Their insurer ID number is fake

3. The contract they sent me was in a word document and could be edited if I so chose too. Their section for banking information was clearly copied from somewhere else.

4. None of the employees can be found online, including the owner of the company. The name Jonathan Taylor is similar to the 90's actor, and Rebecca Tanner is a character from Full House.

5. Google brings up nothing about the company. At all

6. The practice of charging taxes on a loan is illegal.

So the owner of the business I work for called them with me on the phone. The representative Kimberly Allan became increasingly beligerent the more questions we asked and told us that she was too busy to alleviate any concerns we may have had. She said it was not her job to reassure us especially since I had already signed the paperwork and sent in the money. She was rude and condescending. A legitimate company would take all the time needed to make a consumer confident in their company.

I made the decision to cancel my loan and get the money sent reimbursed. I was told that it would take 20 business days and that I would get my money back minus $300 for processing fees. That is so wrong. As a financial institution with my banking information they shoulld be able to send the money directly back to me within the hour.

I am currently pursuing this with them
