Florida Asset Rehab

Thank you for reading this document about Florida Asset Rehab.

I will procede to explain to you why you should not do work for Florida Asset Rehab.

We first found Florida Asset Rehab on craigslist. Florida asset rehab was looking for subcontractors in Central Florida who had experience in preservation and REO. Well, I had been in property preservation for over 3 years, and had many clients who always paid on time, and without question. After talking it over, my business partner and I decided to give Florida Asset Rehab a chance. After submitting all of our paperwork, and going through the traditional sign on process, we began accepting work from Florida Asset Rehab on May 31, 2013.

We continued to provide services for Florida Asset Rehab for the next few months, until we found some information on the internet that led us to believe that Florida Asset Rehab will not pay us. Now, in the preservation industry it is typical not to recieve your first check for about 45 days. Well after the traditional 45 day timeframe past, we decided to "get more organized". Which was our way of saying dont send us any more work for a few weeks, until we get the money you owe us, and then we will continue to work for you after you prove to us that you will pay. Florida Asset Rehab did not pay us.

Florida Asset Rehab owed us $2800 at the time. Florida Asset Rehab proceeded to send us work even after we told them not to send us any more work. The work orders Florida Asset Rehab sent us, work flagged and we asked them to reassign. They were never reassigned and remained in our cache for days. Then, suddenly Florida Asset Rehab removed them from our cache and issue us chargebacks because we did not complete the work that we told them we were not able to complete.

Now suddenly Florida Asset Rehab no longer owes us $2800, but now they only owe us $1958.98. Well, fine. Now I just want to get my money and get out of this relationship (or is it a relationsh!t?). So we wait.... unil today August 19, 2013. When we still have not recieved payment from Florida Asset Rehab. So I send them an email requesting a status update. Here it is:

"

To whom it may concern,

We are preparing to return to work in the coming days and have outstanding invoices from Florida Asset Rehab. Please advise of the status of these as this will determine whether we continue to provide our services.

Please see the attached spreadsheet documenting what we are owed. Our first work order was completed on June 2nd....

"

And this is what they had to say:

"Attached is a dispute form for anything in question, please fill out and we will research, send to [email protected]"

Im not going to sit here and continue on about Florida Asset Rehab. But Melissa Davis with Florida Asset Rehab has personally screwed me and my business partner out of money. I have put my own money into gas, locks, wood, equipment and many other items. Only to not get paid. You know, between my business partner and I; we are trying to support 10 kids and 4 adults. Melissa Davis and Florida Asset Rehab gives the State of Florida a bad reputation and simply does not care about the people that put food on HER table (the contractors that do the work for her). I would advise anyone out there looking to obtain work from Florida Asset Rehab to think twice. There are many other companies out there that will pay there contractors and pay them fairly.

Do not work for Florida Asset Rehab.

We need to get some kind of legal action going against her or she will keep hurting families and not paying her workers they correct way.

MELISSA DAVIS' ILLEGAL BUSINESS PRACTICES

Florida asset rehab, their employees and agents are illegally engaging in contracting without licenses. They use legitimate contractors and act as a middleman between the client and the legitimate contractor. They have no licenses as required by chapter 489 of the Florida Statutes to engage in contracting in the state of Florida. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck... guess what? They need to be shut down. Again. What I mean by that is: This isn't their first business venture to be caught up in controversey. DO NOT do business with Florida Asset Rehab, their agents or employees. Look them up on Sunbiz.org. Make sure you do not do business with their owners, principles, managers or members. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
