Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I and my wife received 2 nights free stay at a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale from MVI. MVI first asked us to set our date without ability to choose the hotel with sending $50 refundable check. Well, that's their rules I suppose since it's a free thing.

Make the story shorter, we arrived and first have to visit the Florida Welcome Center to get our hotel voucher. The people there told us that we can get our $50 deposit back after we attend an hour and a half presentation at another location the day after. Now I started fell cheated because there is no obligation written from MVI beforehand.

After some arguments, we ended up of saying "Ok, we'll go". That's merely because we were on vacation and don't have tight schedule. Sadly, they told us that to reserve the presentation, we need to put $40 that will be returned after the presentation finished altogether with our $50 deposit.

What a scam! It's not stop there yet. The next day we went to the location for presentation, which appear to be RCI. Then someone just taking us around showing properties and selling their thing for more than 3 hours non-stop. The first 2 and a half hour was not too bad only because we were interested to learn how they do business (never knew about 'timeshare' by RCI before).

But after we express that we have no interest on buying, they keep pushing so badly. We've never meet with salesman that pushy!!

They asked questions, keep talking, get angry when we not paying attention. They said that they have to show this last thing as part of the presentation no matter we're not interested. Finally we're done in 3.5 hrs and get our $90 back after we deliberately pushing them hard. What we really irritated with all this is the Florida Welcome Center that should do their job to help tourists is strongly involved in this scam! It was a horrible experience with MVI and Florida Welcome Center and RCI.

The next morning we wanted to complain to the Florida Welcome center again since they're not keeping their words with only 1.5 hrs presentation, but we just felt so pissed off have wasted so much time. finally we just decided to use our vacation time better than taking of all this mess and talking to losers.

We do have similar free hotel accomodation 2 days afterward from different company who also tried to sell something to us, but once we said we're not interested, they returned our deposit right away. No presentation, no nothing.
