Flower Mound Emergency Center Dr Timothy Laseter DO Deceptive practice and billing Flower Mound, Texas
Last year my wife went to Flower Mound Emergency Center for chest congestion. The nurse took her blood pressure and temp. Dr Timothy Laseter wrote her a RX and told her not to fill it. About a month latter we started to get bills in the mail for over $2000.00 that included chest X-rays. It took about 3 months to get it sorted out and they reduced the bill to $140.00. Which is still crazy for the lack of care provided. Now its 6 month latter and we are getting more bills from the DR. He wants another $240.00 for walking into a room, writing a script and telling a patient not to fill it. It feels like I’m on the wrong end of a bad joke. The verbiage they use is that because the Dr wrote a script, it is considered a level 3 emergency room visit. The last time I checked, having your Blood pressure and temp taken are the farthest thing from "Emergency Care" that I can think of. This place uses crafty verbiage to take advantage of both you and your insurance company.
