I posted corrections to http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/01/28/occupy-oakland-crowd-grows-to-nearly-2000/

the article is just a repeat of Terry Collins article from the AP. The article is clearly is a fabrication, claiming that protestors were attempting to "occupy the ymca". I linked to ustream auto-records where this could all be verified.(oakfosho, therevolutionwillbetelevised, etc). Comments for that article were then removed, and commenting was disabled all together.

Later a journalist was arrested despite showing police his media badge was released, here is his article.

This is yet another demonstration how foxnews is corrupt, but all the mainstream media repeated the FALSE article!

I'm not going to really go into the politics of the "movement" but this RoR has me thinking about a couple of things, thanks to the article that the OP posted.

It is amazing the "Occupy Protesters" have no problem occupying vacant bulidings, have no problem trying to shut down ports, camping out illegally in parks.  But when the police ask them to dispurse they want to file a class action lawsuit against the police for not telling them HOW to disperse.  Seriously are these people so clueless that they need to be told how to leave?  Well for future reference how about reversing your steps..after all you got there didn't you?  So I guess it is just another case of "We don't need to follow the law..well until it works to our advantage".

Now back to your regularly scheduled RipOff....

In checking out that link I noticed one other thing.  You said that the article stated that the protesters were attempting to "occupy the YMCA".  Since YOU put it in quotes it must be in the article right?  Well guess what that is NOT in the article, in fact the YMCA wasn't even listed.

But you want to know what was mentioned..this direct quote from the Deputy Police Chief.

"These people gathered with the intent of unlawfully entering into a building that does not belong to them and assaulting the police,"

Just in case you were unaware "enter" does not equal "occupy."

Your claim is that this was just a repost of a AP article that was incorrect.  So do you have proof that the Deputy Police Chief didn't say that?  Are you saying that the AP should not have put that quote in the article?    It seems as if it is a fairly balanced article because right before that quote they had a quote from the occupy side that stated the police were wrong.  Or is this a case where you just want them to post things that make your side look good?

By the way why didn't you write a ripoff on AP?
