I asked the electronics employee for Windows 8, and specifically told him I don't want an upgrade version, since I have a new hard drive and need the full version. He understood and grabbed it out of the locked case, took it to the register and rang me up. I looked to make sure he gave me the right one and it said "microsoft win 8" on the price tag sticker and just had a big 8 sticking out from behind it.

I bought it, go home and peel the plastic back where the price tag is and behind it says "upgrade". I realize it's the wrong one and quickly rush back to the store, I had probably been gone for about 5 minutes. The electronics employee was very apologetic and told me to go to customer service. Once there they made it very clear they couldn't accept it because I'd peeled back the plastic shrink wrap and had therefore compromised the product key. They told me to come back when the store manager Helga would be there. I did just that, and Helga wouldn't even come down and hear me out or look at the situation. Only told employee over the phone to not accept it.

I definitely think they ought to take it back since their employee messed up and gave me the wrong one and they stick the price tag over the product label. It's not like I just don't like the product, it's the wrong thing and totally useless to me. $130 wasted on their mistakes.
