Frederick J. Hanna & Associates, P.C. Illegal attempt to collect a closed and settled debt. Marietta Georgia
Frederick J. Hanna & Associates, P.C. is attempting to collect on a debt that has already been settled and charged off by the original credit card company. They are aware of that fact but they continue to send letters of intimidation and make phone calls to my home on a debt they have even admitted was settled. I spoke with one of their associates by phone on 2/10/09 and she said she noticed that the debt had been paid and that I would not hear from them anymore.
Today I received a contradictory letter from them with another attempt to collect on a debt that was settled in 2004. I have my original certified letters as proof of the settlement in full and acceptance of the settlement from Capital One. They know this debt has been paid in full but they are attempting to force me to pay something I no longer owe.
The last letter I received from them stated the amount is due in full and upon receipt and they will notify their client who will then mark the account paid in full. This company needs to be shut down because they ignore facts and will do anything to steal your money. They prey on citizens whom they assume do not know their legal rights.

The Georgia Supreme Court says Hanna is a "law firm," so you have to submit a bar complaint vs. them (and not a consumer complaint with the state OCA or federal FCC -- but fine if you do that too anyway). You may submit a bar complaint vs. Fred Hanna (the owner of the "firm") and any atty. that may have contacted you that also violated bar rules for atty.s:
