Freedom Imports Aka Freedom Scooter Sells go karts with dangerously defective steering and will not honor warranty ripoff Dallas Texas
Purchased 10 Explorer KD-150FS go karts from Freedom Imports, a Dallas distributor. These karts have defective ball-joints that break, causing loss of steering and control. Four of the first five karts broke in the first hour of use. Informed seller of problem via email and was informed that they did not have replacement parts. Repeated emails were then ignored. Made personal trip to Freedom Scooters offices. Salesman Marquez Jeffries took my info and promised to have Sales Manager contact me.
Have had no reponse.

Brand new kart - steering strut broke within 5 minutes
I have $13,000 invested in go karts that are completely useless as is. I can't sell them in the current condition as they are too dangerous and someone will get hurt. Apparently Freedom Imports doesn't care about customer service or whether someone will get hurt in one of their defective karts.
I'm willing to work with Freedom on exchanging 2 of the defective karts that were damaged when the front wheels came lose and damaged the frames. I'll keep the rest and fix IF they will supply the parts.
Amazingly the salesman at Freedom knows about these defective karts, but mentioned that the warranty is only 30 days. How convienent, they're managed to ignore me most of the warranty period. Bottom line is...Freedom Imports knows that these are defective and dangerous karts, but choses to do nothing about it.
