Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted in late October by someone claiming to give me a credit card with a $2500 credit limit. As I was speaking to her, I would give my husband the phone to ask any questions he had. I believe they had an answer for everything. We asked what king of card it was (i.e.-secured) and the responce was 'store', or so we thought. We asked several times to make sure we heard correctly, when we asked can we use it at any store she said we could.Too bad she didn't pronunciate, then we wouldn't be in this mess.

A few days later I heard something about a 'stored' credit card and instantly knew I had gotten screwed. I contacted the bank, put a stop payment on the debit, and waited. 2 weeks after the original post should have gone through, the same amount $221.95 was deducted by Lenox something. We instantly called this so-called credit card company to complain and were told that they would issue a refund.

Let's see, that was in Nov. In December, after 4 calls between my husband and myself, I got through to a very nice young man. I was told that he would send the paperwork out that day. Sure enough I received the cancellation forms in about 5 days.

I sent the form back on Dec. 15th, and still have not received a word. So yesterday I called them back. 24 minutes on hold I finally got through to a human being. I was told that the refund check would be in the mail on March 14th. When I inquired about the length of time it was taking, she said all she knew was what the refund dept. told her. So, in conclusion, I will wait until the 19th of March. If I don't see a check, then it's time to play hard ball.

My father always said "a fool and his money are soon parted", I can't help but wonder if he knew that he was talking about me.

I too have been ripped off--here is what to do

#2Consumer Suggestion

Wed, March 05, 2003

I was ripped off back in August of 2002. I am still waiting for my refund. I was "accidently" told that others have been waiting longer than me. Contact the proper authorities immediately. See the report with the response from the employee entitled Pay attention. It has a phone number for the person handling the case with the Georgias Attorney General. The longer you wait- the longer you will wait. Do something now. Also contact the news channels so they can put out reports about this company so others aren't scammed in your area also. With me it is no longer about just getting my money back. I have already written that off. If I do- great, but I am not expecting it. I just want to see them shut down so they aren't continuing to prey on innocent people and tell them their lies, and steal their money. Others can't afford it. Fortunately while I don't want to loose that money. It isn't going to hurt us financially as some. Some are on fixed incomes and single parents and it means the difference in them being able to take care of their family
