Fry's Electronics rip-off on a hard drive Burbank California
I read in a local newspaper add fry's was having a sale on 40 gig's hard drives and instalation was free, so I thought, well I know how to work a hd into my pc, but I will take advantage of their nice tech support guys and no hassle on my side.
WRONG ! I went to the store bought the d**n thing, ask a friend of mine to leave work early to bring my pc into the store while I waited, I turned it in with the hd and they told me to come back in 2 days, I did go back 3 days later I thought well I might get yelled just like my parents on left over days ! a nice person came to me (YES A GIRL ) and said we've been swamp with a lot of orders since the hd is so cheap, so it's going to take a couple days more.
Went back a week later, the girl was not in, day off, so a tech guy ask me if I knew that there was something wrong with my mother board ! I'm like hello u guys are shoving a 40 gigs hd on my system not a mother board, he went back grab my pc and said is this yours? a nice looking system to me, it had my name on it better way, way better than mine and honestly I said no, my pc it's right there I can see it from here.
He went to get it and said now my communication port was burnt that they could not get the drivers off the hd manufacturer web site ! I said a day before I came to the store I was surfing the net, so how can it be damage before I brought it in ?
He said well that's all I'm allowed to tell you !
I called in a manager, he gave me his card which I trew away, telling me to get a new mother board because mine was no good and it couldn't not get damage by them, because they are professionals, I said professional my a*s u guys damaged my system and now u want me to buy a mother board so my modem can work and so u guys can download the hd drivers from the manufacture web site ! hello.
All the manager said sorry good luck!
I took them to small claims court and won !
so all of u who have been mistreated by this co. chew back on their asses. Take them to court and bring all of your stuff to court to make it more real on ur part, the judge who heard my case said to me I may have think 5 times before I walk into a fry's store, I said don't even think about it !
